I got this speaker as a gift from my employer... It's junk all around... Sounds like the speakers are blown and distorting even at the lowest volume... I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for any reason... I honestly have $10 knock off bluetooth speakers from ebay that sound better and louder than this... Had the package open for 10 minutes and back in the box it went... Should be pretty obvious of the quality by comparing the price with others (60 vs. 200)... Pretty upset being this thing looks like it would have some potential with the hook-up options... Attempting to return this but will prolly end up selling it to some poor guy instead...
Sound quality was good, enjoyed it while it lasted, which unfortunately was not very long. Subwoofer went out after 34 days of purchase. The store I purchased from (Kmart) will not take back after 30 days and Ilive's warranty requires my paying the shipping and handling there and back, which will be close to the purchase price. I will steer away from this manufacturer in the future.
My wife and I recently purcased your speaker system and we were reading all the information we could about them looking for a way to turn off (or at least down) the obnoxiously bright blue lights that illuminate the entire room and our naked bodies. Making us appear as we are Avatars from Pandora. Our kids walked in the other night and seriouly thought we were aliens. Even our clearly enunciated usually easily recognizable voices were misconstrued due to our blue-ish hue. And we weren't even naked that time. We always keep the door locked when we are naked anyway.
So, can someone *please* tell me how to eliminate the lights from their usually full functiin 24-7 operation? Or perhaps even if there is some sort of hidden combinatiin hack that turns these things. Ya know? How they have code for cars where if you press the brake and turn the stereo to a certain channel while turning the steering wheel in a certain direction while hane the hazard lights are on and you turn on the ac and that annoying alarm (that does NOT have blue lights but is still annoying) thats indicates my sest belt is not engaged. Which I HATE seatbelts. My great aunt almost died from one in the mid 70's and ever since then, my entire family agrees that seat belts are bullshit. And we all unamiously refuse to wear them. Sooo those codes are great. Have your technicians prepared this sort of code to disengage these annoying blue lights.
I realize that everyone seems to enjoy these lights as a premier feature of the speaker system unit, but we beg to differ. We feel that they are distracting. My wife uses those fabric placemats from the kitchen table to often cover them. I came home the other evening and she had them FACING the front picture window with the shades drawn tightly in behind them. Just BLASTING bight blue police car type lights out into our front yard. What's next??? We JUST bought these 3 days ago. Someone (!!!!!) Please help. We LOVE the sound and enjoy bluetooth like features whatever that's supposed to refer to, I'm not keen to electronics perse' but I do know that I don't like blue nights now. I used to they seeemed soothing and relaxing before. Now I just feel like I'm going to be arrested all the time, for no reason, because I'm not driving right now, so how could (would they???) ever know if I was wearing my seatbelt or not when they would show up at my front door??? They couldn't possibly... there is NO WAY.
But back to these speakers. What"s with the blue lights? My wife's car's dash light change on there own to less annoying of blues and pinks and golden hues of orange and yellow. And while yes, there is blue involved, its less commanding than say your speaker system's options of only one tone of INTERSTATE HIGHWAY CRUISER PARTROL VEHICLE. Which is starting to freak me out.
I've been shopping for a bluetooth speaker now for about a month. I have a Chromebook equipped with bluetooth and most any speaker should be better then the lousy built-in ones on the Chromebook.
After much research and sound testing, I settled on this little guy due to it's price and sound quality. It's no JBL, but it's also not $100.00! I can be picking regarding sound quality, and this is quite nice at reasonable sound volumes.
The one thing I am not liking is how often the signal is dropped, but since this unit is new, I will trouble-shoot it and see what the issue might be. Of course, it might be the computer, too. I will see.
You probably won't find a better sounding or better looking speaker for under $20.00!
I have only had this speaker for 2 months and the damn thing won't come on any more.
The LCD display is just flashing, no lonher shows the time. I can't even take it back to FYE because it's past 30 days. Essentially it is $80 wasted
I got this speaker for a really good deal but the sound quality wasn't as good as I expected and the speaker stopped working within a month. I don't know what I did or what happened but I was disappointed
I bought the item second hand so it didnt come with the wall mount :( but I have to say it is a Really Good sound bar its loud easy to use and the satellite speakers are WIRELESS wow it is great and you can hook up a subwoofer! I have seen other producys that are very similar for WAY more than this price so if you want a good soundbar with surround sound and wireless speakers and who doesnt this is it! The only thing I can say thats bad is the soundbar sounds a little like it has an echo but ive only had it for a day so maybe i can mess around with some settings or maybe its the position i have it in my living room idk. Also woth the subwoofer I can feel it rumble my upstairs floor WOW!
I love it! While the other review complained about not having app to improve its features i personally love the fact we are able to control everything through the remote, i am just tired of having to download all these apps and create accounts.
It has a nice color option and the sound is pretty good for what it is.
It is perfect for bathroom or balcony.
Bought this as a Christmas gift for its sleek, compact design and great sound quality. But it'll be going back... the app fails to connect the speaker to Wifi, even using the alternate method. Speaker only connects when pressing WPS button on router, but then fails to reconnect automatically when powered on again. Customer service confirmed this is normal. And bluetooth & aux are inconvenient b/c speaker always defaults to wifi when turned on.
